Leyenda Production Co. and GoLightly Productions are proud to present a unique opportunity to witness a wide variety of acclaimed local musicians performing as one.
Among these acts are:
*DeWayne GoLightly and Jiro Rodriguez of the GoLightly Project, a Weslaco-based
hip hop/house duo currently charting on local radio with their Top 10 single,
Sweat It Out. In addition to their next single release, they will perform two
brand-new, co-written songs and remixes of Leyenda material
*Mario Aleman, who has garnered a reputation as one of the area's premier classical guitarists, performing two songs co-written for an upcoming Leyenda film and stage musical
*Robert Perez, a renowned hard rock guitarist and vocalist, formerly of In The Red, performing live for the first time two songs he recorded for Leyenda's rock opera Let Us Dance in 2006
*Irish Bautista and Brandon Garcia, who have recorded over 20 soundtrack and stageplay singles with Leyenda
These musicians will be accompanied by some of the region's finest and most trained young dancers, including Michael Rodriguez and Paloma Limas of Deborah Case Dance Academy, in a bold, theatrical showcase directed and produced by Rebecca Hayley-Zamudio.
The performance also marks the premiere of the scandalous music video for the GoLightly Projects' Sweat It Out, created through Leyenda's Music/Film Alliance program, in which student filmmakers are teamed with local bands to film new music videos.
