The
McAllen Chamber of Commerce is offering a free Belly Dance class designed for
beginners on Tuesday, 22nd January at the McAllen Creative
Incubator. This event is part of the Cultural Arts & Entertainment Series,
a compilation that has been organized to focus on numerous activities that aim
to provide an educational awareness relating to the culture and art that
surrounds our community.
Based in McAllen, Ahava, a professional Middle
Eastern performing troupe comprised of 2 of the Rio Grande Valley's top belly
dancers. Each dancer has danced for years and brings an abundance of skill and
grace to each and every performance.
Anyone
can enjoy dancing regardless of their age or background, if they are disabled,
or non-disabled, whether or not they have danced before, and whatever their
shape and size."
So mark your calendar for Tuesday, 22nd January, 7:00 pm at the McAllen Creative Incubator, located at 1001 S. 16th St., McAllen. The class is open to people of all ages and is free.
