The McAllen Creative Incubator features photographer, writer and teacher Ruth Hoyt, as one of the artists exhibiting their work in September 2017. She has been an artist in residence with the Incubator since May 2014.

An opening reception featuring Ruth’s photographic work is scheduled Friday, September 1st, from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the McAllen Creative Incubator, 601 N. Main Street, McAllen, Texas. The reception is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Ruth’s exhibit opens September 1st in the Atrium and will hang until the end of September. The exhibit features a mix of large canvas gallery-wrapped prints as well as prints using archival, museum-quality paper.

She is known for her bird photography but she also pursues landscape, flora, night and other photography in Texas and other locations across the United States. Ruth uses a professional digital SLR camera for most of her work, but she also uses other cameras including iPhone 6+ and DJI drone camera for some subjects.
